Selling instructions & FAQs
Browse the buylist and enter counts for a quote estimate in minutes. Sign in to submit for approval, and ship only after approval. These answers explain the selling journey.
Getting started
Do I need an account to sell?
Yes. Sign in or register to submit your counts; browsing the buylist is public.
- Standard selling does not require identity verification.
- Older guest submission? Open its private status link (or request a recovery link), sign in, and claim it before adding tracking or messages. Never share that link.
Which TCGs do you buy?
We currently buy Pokémon cards only. We are not buying cards from other TCGs at this time.
How do I review my submission approval?
Review your approved submission and shipping instructions. Reply by email or in your order’s response thread to agree on terms or ask questions before shipping.
- Staff review your submitted counts and confirm the approved quote and payment terms. An estimate is not an approved offer or guaranteed payout.
- There is no separate submission-acceptance button. Messages are saved for staff review; they do not change approval or payment status.
- Do not ship on submission alone. Wait for quote approval and shipping instructions before shipping.
Which cards and how many?
Submit at least 5,000 cards or $100+ in estimated value across accepted categories. Cards must be English, Near-Mint, authentic Pokémon cards.
- Enter accurate counts using the current buylist.
- Estimates need staff review. They are not approved quotes or guaranteed payouts.
How is pricing determined?
We price by category—commons/uncommons, holos, EX/V, and more—using current rates on our Buylist page.
- Rates can change. Check them when building your quote estimate; eligible volume bonuses are included.
- Submit your counts for approval and wait for confirmed shipping instructions before shipping.
Do you buy damaged or played cards?
No. Our standard buylist accepts Near Mint cards only.
- Lightly Played, more heavily played, and damaged cards are not accepted.
- Check our Condition Guide before submitting your counts.
Packing & shipping
Do I need a packing slip in every box?
Required: place one packing slip inside every box before sealing.
- Print or save a PDF from your signed-in order or approved submission status.
- Print one copy per box, check your identifying details, and place it on top of the protected cards. Seal securely.
- Print a packing slip showing your full order or submission reference and put one copy inside every box. With a marker, write the last four characters of that same reference on the outside of every box, away from the shipping label and barcode. This is not your carrier tracking number.
- Keep contact and PayPal details inside, not on the shipping label.
- Printing is not shipping approval or a payment receipt. Wait for approval, shipping instructions, and any required upfront payment record.
When and where should I ship?
Do not ship on submission alone. Wait for quote approval and shipping instructions before shipping.
- Pack for 2nd Life Cards / 222 American Greeting Card Rd / Corbin, KY 40701 using the packing and shipping guide.
- After quote approval, add your carrier and tracking within two business days.
- On an approved upfront order, add tracking first, then wait for staff to record the manual payment before handing the package to the carrier.
How many cards fit in a USPS Large Flat Rate box?
Up to 7,200 cards: 16 stacks of 450, as shown in our packing example.
- Count unsleeved bulk into 16 stacks of 450 cards (7,200 total). Lay the stacks flat, side by side, turning some crosswise to fit the illustrated arrangement. Sort by buylist category. Do not add a full-bottom liner; fill remaining gaps to prevent shifting. Protect separate EX/V bags with padding.
- This is a target, not a guaranteed fit. Never force or bulge the box; check current carrier weight and normal-closure limits.
- Reinforce the outside with heavy-duty tape, especially the glued corner, seams, and edges. Keep the label and barcode readable.
- See the packing and shipping guide for the photo and full instructions.
How should I pack premium EX/V cards?
Remove individual sleeves and put EX/V cards in sealed bags of 50–100.
- Keep them separate from ordinary bulk.
- Pack the bags snugly with protective padding so they cannot shift.
What about postage and very large shipments?
Sellers are responsible for shipping costs.
- The cheat sheet’s $31-per-box example is an estimate, not a live quote or guaranteed price. Check current rates.
- Pallet/LTL shipments, including 300,000+ cards, are accepted. Arrange details with staff before shipping.
- For 500,000+ cards or seller partnerships, ask about special rates and terms.
Tracking & deadlines
Where do I enter or correct tracking?
Sign in and open Selling submissions in My Orders. Add your carrier and tracking after approval.
- Claim older guest submissions through their private status link first.
- You can correct tracking while an active approval awaits shipment or is in transit. Receipt, rejection, or manual closure ends editing.
- Late tracking is still allowed on an otherwise eligible active order.
How is the two-business-day deadline calculated?
Tracking is due two business days after approval, at the same America/New_York local time.
- Business days are Monday–Friday. Weekends are excluded; holidays count as weekdays.
- Approval on Friday or Saturday at 3 PM means tracking is due Tuesday at 3 PM Eastern.
- The local time stays the same across daylight-saving changes—not a 48-hour countdown. Your order shows the exact date, time, and timezone.
What if I miss the deadline?
Missing tracking triggers admin review, not automatic cancellation or invalidation.
- It does not automatically change payments or create a refund.
- Add tracking as soon as possible on an eligible active order. Contact our team if you need help.
Who receives reminders, and when do they stop?
While an active approved order lacks tracking, the seller and designated admin/order contact get reminders at 9 AM and 5 PM America/New_York, including weekends and overdue orders.
- They stop when tracking is saved, the shipment is received/completed, the order is rejected/cancelled, or approval is explicitly closed.
- Recording an upfront payment alone does not stop reminders.
- Older approvals without a reliable timestamp need review, not an invented deadline.
Inspection & payment
How and when am I paid?
For an already-approved upfront order, we send payment within 48 hours of your tracking upload. Otherwise, we send payment within 2 days after your cards are verified.
- Delivery alone does not mean your cards are verified.
- Staff manually sends and records PayPal Goods & Services payment. The website does not transfer money automatically.
- For upfront orders, submit tracking first and wait for the payment record before carrier handoff.
- Identity verification alone does not grant prepay. No identity verification is needed for payment after receipt and card verification.
What happens after arrival or if counts differ?
We receive cards by hand, grade their condition, machine count them, then verify the order. Arrival is not completed verification.
- Staff communicate discrepancies or material quote changes. Ask questions or dispute a discrepancy in the order’s response thread.
- Your response is saved for staff review. It does not approve new terms, resolve a discrepancy, or release a held payment by itself.
What is Didit, and is it required?
Didit is our third-party identity-verification service. It uses a government-issued ID and selfie to confirm your identity.
- It is not required to submit your cards or receive standard payment after arrival and verification.
- Identity verification alone does not guarantee upfront payment; upfront terms require separate approval.
